Just got my bag last night from Bad&G. Can't give you any review yet as I just threw it on this morning, but I like the look, quality, and size. Greg seems great to work with, makes the bags to order, and got mine to me ahead of his original estimate. Pretty sure I will be using zip ties rather than the leather straps - to snug things up.
I have the Licks solo swing arm bag. Not crazy about the quality and it sags a bit with the leather straps they provided "I assume that will just get worse". Plan to have Sundog Leather make me a custom one to match my Tank & fender Bib , & badass toolbag, Pat Nash from Sundog is the real deal each piece is custom made art, not cheap but true old world leather craftmanship.
I have the Leather Works 5" bag the quality is great as with all of their stuff. I have been using their bags for over 30 years now and have always received the best quality.
For those that asked about mine: I bought the bag direct from Leatherworks. I called and told them what I wanted for the closure and they said no problem even though I didn't see any on their site at the time.. Not sure if they show them now either.. Call then email the pic I have posted if they're confused at your request.. Love the 5" and am so glad I didn't go with the 3".. As for staying shut while riding, the leather is stiff and the buckles stay locked..
Scroll down for more pics of the really cool one ($1,500!!):
That thing is GORGEOUS and for $1500 it better be. But not the right look for my Nightster. I went with a LaRosa fork and swingarm bag. Decent quality for the price.
I went with the Garage Leathers bag. I like having one big stupid buckle instead of messing with 2 nylon clips. Also this bag is way thicker than anything else on the market. I was amazed at the quality. It definitely costs more though. Whatever bag you pick should work just as well as any other though.
We don't yet have it on the web site, but the plan is to offer for $29.95 extra is to switch out the standard Indian Head Nickels with a Custom Concho Option. See attached Custom Conchos we offer and let me know if you are interested. If you want the custom conchos, just note it in the special instruction section of the order form.
