Waiting lists are standard over here. Ordered my 2012 Fat Bob and it was 16 weeks to the day for delivery and that is pretty standard for us. Can get lucky if they are clearing floor stock but generally 3-4 month wait. Buy any other brand and if they don;t have it on the floor you can have it inside of 2 weeks.
Only way there will be another list in he states is if Harley decreases production. Sales may be soaring but Harley can certainly keep up with the demand
Corporate Arrogance as seen in the past will hit MOCO...New Bikes will be built cheaper in quality than they already are... Repair parts will be 2 to 3 weeks out and refereed to the next larger and higher priced assemblies.. And of course the prices will go up... The service department will only handle warranty new bike service, and the ques will be longer than they are now... The genuine quality of customer service will last only a few minuets after you ring the bell....

Very True. Only the selling dealer will work on your bike. Its coming
There are a lot of independent shops out there, start useing them and start building a good relationship. it can help keep the cost down and for gods sake everyone learn how to at least change your own oil.
I disagree warranty is thru hd they would never pull that stunt
Are there any examples u can think of have u seen any factory do that.
The selling dealer will work on there customers bike first . I was told leave my name and phone number that they will call me with a appointment. So I spent my money at another dealer.

Peak bike sales for the MOCO occured in the model 2007 year. They have been dropping like a turd in the well ever since. With the new management team firmly in control now the plan is to (yes) build fewer bikes and have less inventory of new bikes on hand. New Harleys are ordered by the dealer way out in front with shipments occurring at a preplanned date. If the dealer wants something that he is not going to be shipped for 3 months he goes to a dealership that has than bike already in it's inventory and works a trade with something he has in his inventory. All dealers can look at other dealers new inventory (via their computer web site and see what is on the books. Most dealers in my part of the country do not carry near the inventory of new bikes they did just 3 years ago. If your dealer does not have what you want, ask them to check other dealers. If they are unwilling to do that, and some are, tell them to get snaked and go to another dealer. Many dealers who don't carry a large inventory try to use that to their advantage by telling prospective customers that "We just can't keep the bikes in stock cause they are selling so fast". Hell, the cure for that is to just floor plan more bikes in the beginning. If dealers had their way they would not order a new bike from the factory until someone paid for it first.
