Solo Bags
I've been shopping around for a solo bag for my ride. I'm talking about the kind that rides on the frame in the rear. "Chump Change" is a hard tail & has upswept fish tails, so I can't run regular saddle bags. Trouble is, they're asking a FORTUNE for what amounts to a small leather bag. Median $200.00.
I wouldn't even bother except I fouled a plug today & had to get her home on one cylinder. If I had a bag, I would have had a plug wrench & a spare set. I would also throw the wrenches in to adjust my chain.
Sad part is, I used to do leather work & it wouldn't be that difficult to make my own bag...Except for that whole one-arm thing.
So...Anybody know where I can pick up a left side solo bag for a price that won't make me choke?

Well.....ya got several choices for good to great ones.....and some sh**ty ones as well.....Got the MoCo's on mine (HD) got a helluva deal on it,could'n pass....seems a good bag ,and I think the things were originally made for hardtails anyways.....everbody start'd put'm on the other bikes...Softails 'specially. HD bag's 'bout 179.00 +tax, original price....like I said...got'a helluva deal on mine at the time , 119.80 +tax...(been return'd,out on a table, and they had 20% off anything in stock at the dealer 'cept bikes ...)
Lot'sa threads on these, and different brands in the Softail section....ya might wanna search it.....(prices,brands,etc....and PICS on bikes, just type in "Swingarm Bags"....)

Yep. Even they are way overpriced. I understand solo bags are a niche product so there's not a huge demand but, damn, you'd think you could get one for a reasonable price.
Yes, I thought about a roll bag but, I really don't have anywhere to put it. Springer front end = no fender...No room on the bars...No place on the back either.

Ok, I also have a Springer front end so that answers that question. haha
Another idea, how about one of those small bags that will attach to the downtube? Also, if you have a sissy bar how about a bag that will fit there?
Very good stuff and prices are way better than any others I've found. I'm still waiting for them to get their saddle bag liners in (been on backorder for about a month). I have this bag... http://www.vikingbags.com/Motorcycle...-7745-prd1.htm
and very impressed with it.
