Default I'm being tempted.

I'm being tempted to do something I said I would never do. The 2012 CVO Convertible is looking really good to me and I am considering trading in my '07 Wide Glide.

Anyone have experience with the Convertible?

Yes, as a matter of fact I did. That led to looking the bike up on the web and justifying the purchase

I find that large amounts of alcohol help to justify these thoughts of irrational purchases...

That's what is so messed up. No alcohol was involved. I do however think the "price of admission" will be more than I'm willing to put out. It would be like turning my bike in and buying another with the cost of the CVO and my bike is paid for.

Sometimes you have to look at your bike in the same light you would look at your wife. You chose it/her for a reason, and just because something prettier comes along doesn't mean you should toss it/her aside and go get that new shiny wife/bike.

Yes, and after 24 years of marriage, trading in for a newer, faster model would be pretty expensive.

See it's all on how you think about it. Now don't you feel a better?
