I would strongly suggest going to a store and trying one on. I can see buying an item of clothing online if it is exactly the same as something you have already or have tried on.
Try a few on look for quality stitching and edge finishing etc. Not all leather vests and jackets are created equal. In my humble opinion both are items you want to get the best possible gear that you can afford. Buying based on "cheap" is a bad call.
