There's thousands of dollars to be made with arrests and tickets- the whole criminal justice machine depends on it-racketeering at it's finest by the smiling armed cashiers with badges.

The CoC should look into the Washington State US Defenders model..

Things have been pretty quiet up here since that was passed.

This is probably gonna **** folks off but it is not intented...

I do not know a lot about CoC, Abate or any of the others. But I do know I do not want to be touring the country with my wife and have trouble with another patch holding group that thinks I am invading thier turf. I remember a few years ago that some club sent word that any Patriot rider came into thier turf wearing theirr colors would be Killed. Now, I have alot of respect for what the Patriot Gaurds do and think that was totally out of line but it made me very cautious of that area and any groups that are so called patch holders. I can only carry so much ammo on my belt readily accessable.

I agree no one should not single out individuals to stop on the side of the road for no reason. I owned a car that was profiled for drug running and got stoped 16 weeks in a row by different cops for all kinds of things they could think up. It was a pain in the *** but I finally started refusing them to search and they would let me go after a while threating me with all kinds of charges. You do have rights as a Citizen, but you need to know what they are. They must has just cause to search and they try everything to scare you into the search. Finally I traded vehicles and it all stopped... Taking your permit, I think you could fight this, cause usually it is very clear on what will cause you to get your CCW permit pulled. I would be down at the police station pretty quick about that.

I may suggest you get involved with the Council meetings of your town or city and represent the citizens of your area. Some of these meetings are amazing, nobody hardly every attends, except a few that have an agenda that are there everytime to push thier cause...basically the politicians and these individuals that have no life and have free range to do what ever they want that effects you. Ask the mayor or coucil leader in these meetings why this is happening...tell them what good your club does for the community, express your concerns but do not go in looking like you been on the road for 5 days. You may be surprized how effective you could be.

If you look like a criminal or a GANG by wearing colors or the way you dress when you ride, then the uneducated will mistake you as a criminal, and you probably will be treated as a criminal as I know many here are really good people with many vets that served out country in our ranks.
I got a 20 year old boy, and I tell him to shave or grow a beard cause if he goes through a D/L stop, which they have almost weekly down the road from my house, they could mistaken him for a THUG, which he looks like about 50% of the time and they could have thier boot on his neck for no reason at all. I feel I am still responsible for his *** at least till he gets out of college and moves out of my house, so I am still calling the shots on him as long as I am paying the bills.

I am not a socialble person at all. I do not go to ralleys, do not like to ride in groups, and have very few friends I associate with. I ride mostly alone with my wife or with one close friend. I barely associate with my own family unless I got to. A club ain't for me especially if I got to wear a vest to put a patch on. I do not wear vest when I ride nor do I wear anything with HD on it. Call me sick or twisted if you want.

That is my 2cents

The Texas CoC is pretty much where the Defenders program started out of. And it appears the U.S. Defenders is using the WA model in a push for national anti-profiling legislation. Y'all done a great job up yonder; now it's time for a big push across the country.

Bit my lip... really wanted to ask him what his HDforums name is.
LOL, says right on the receipt that commercial vehicles have to carry the receipt. What were you selling, membership kits for the Quiet Boneheads MC? Haven't seen a "commercial" motorcycle since the early 1960s when a business near my hometown used an old cop trike as a delivery vehicle.

You know why you were stopped, and it wasn't for speeding ... He just liked your handsome profile!

You have our support for whatever you need- petitions, ballots, contacting reps.

It's an election year- get a politician to push for the state or national anti-profiling in public and I'll send my money if they're serious.

Remember when Dubya said about the helmet bill when he was Gov.?

They got it through the House and Senate and he repealed the law- it wasn't perfect, but one step at a time.

RIP Sputnik

Amen. Heres whats been going through my mind for 3 years. Since most bikers share some core values and there are so many, i have been wondering why the hell there hasnt been or would there ever be a protest in washington by bikers of all kinds, against what this government has implimented since the last election. I mean, with the amount of us out there we are a big voteing block for those dunces in washington and in the WH. Seriousely, i cant figure this one out. Id be there in a heart beat even on a bike that kills me to ride 50 miles on.

Alls i can say is dont sit on your *** this november, support someone who supports our second admendment rights and our constitution and maybe we can stop this crap in its tracks.

My state is already screwed like CA, but maybe the overall constitution could be upheld for the rest of the country. Sanctuary state/city my ***. I HATE NY. Wish i had the option to move.

In Texas if you can legally own a gun you may carry it concealed in your vehicle without a concealed carry permit. This statute was passed in 2009 and was called the Texas Motorist Protection Act. We are not required to carry our registration papers unless our vehicle is for commercial operation. Have never been stopped at a checkpoint on my bike burt have been through several DWI checkpoints in my cage.

I checked and they changed the law back again, sorry

GC §411.205. REQUIREMENT TO DISPLAY LICENSE. (a) If a license holder is carrying a handgun on or about the license holder's person when a magistrate or a peace officer demands that the license holder display identification, the license holder shall display both the license holder's driver's license or identification certificate issued by the department and the license holder's handgun license.

FYI... the USDefender program came about as a means of connecting the TMRA2/Sputnik to the clubs. Too often the clubs saw and heard mandates from the MRO and its just not conducive to stand before clubs and TELL them what to do...snip out... It was entirely TX based and the patch we chose from approx. 10 is the same national patch seen today but it wasn't red white and blue.

RIP Sputnik.... I was with him the weekend after he got FREE tattooed on his forehead, he couldn't get angry or laugh cuz the scab would crack and bleed. That was funny.
