Around here the most popular S-O's Mufflers for tone and sound is Rush,, if U want loud go for the 2''ers, if U want almost as loud and better low-mid tq, then go with the 1 3/4''ers.
Check these guys out. http://www.americancustom.com/products/
I heard their pipes at Daytona this past year and they sound great and you can change the baffles out in a jiffy if you want to tone them down some.
You will always get the "Why Loud" guys chiming in on these threads. A lot of us have been there and done that and decided that the loss of low and mid range power is just not worth it. Others have just grown tired of the racket mile after mile. Its your bike, make it like you want it. One day, not to far down the road we are not going to have the option anymore so enjoy it while you can.
If you are broke right now and want more noise, take a piece of 1" rebar and drive it up in the pipe until you feel that restrictor pop out or fold over. That should hold you over for awhile.

Just wondering, I have a 09 Heritage-I was thinking of taking out the baffels from the exhaust pipe vs buying a new set of staight pipes. Would it be much louder, any extra power, what do you think?
So i thought i'd take the poor mans way to loud straight pipes on my 2000 DWG.... well i clock right at a hundred miles a day to n from the sweatshop and lemme tell ya it sounds sweet but with gas as high as it is i can got 2 maybe 3 days on ten bucks with baffles out i burned up that ten buck in one day!! Granted i got better lift off on passing @ 70-80 but in town was sluggish and annoying at a red light... The baffles went back in the next morning. That's just my experience prob not. enough backpre

I have the Vance & Hines 3" slip-ons on my 2011 DWG. I took the baffles out and rode for a few days. It was super loud, but the tone sucked. I didn't experience a power loss or gain, just a different sound. They are plenty loud with the baffles in. The Rush slip-on's with the 2.25" baffles would suit you great if you want loud. I went to the parts counter at Cool Springs HD (outside Nashville, TN) and asked for a set of those Rush slip-ons. They said they had them in stock and priced them at $290. The numbers were crossed in the computer so they didn't really have the Rush muffs. But they had the V&H priced at $325. They gave me the V&H for the price of the Rush since I was told they had them in stock. I love them. I'm not going to bother with a full system now.
I have a thunder head on my road king, it is loud but not crazy loud. I drive the interstate to work when i come up on a car i can see the drivers head turn to see what the noise is. I know they know i coming that is why i like the loud pipes.
