Does anyone have an idea of the vlaue of a 1991 FXRS CONV with 1,100 original miles?
More info required. Post up some pictures, and talk up the bike a little bit.
Is it in showroom condition? How was the bike stored? Original everything, to include the soft bags and windshield?
The first thing that pops in my mind about a 21 year old bike with 1100 miles is the condition of all the seals, tires, and if there is any corrosion on the bike.
The '91 FXRS-CON is not really a collector's item, per se but it is a sought after bike by a small fraction of Harley enthusiasts. If it is in perfect condition, I would pay $6500-7000, tops.
An FXRS-conv is essentially the same bike as the FXRS-sp "Low Rider Sport". Both of these were beautifully-designed bikes (even the factory seats are great), the best-handling bikes of the FXR line due to their full-height suspensions.
A "convertible" with only 1,100 miles on it would be a prized-find for an FXR fan. I'm amazed the bike didn't get ridden more, as FXR's all-but beg their owners to "go further".
With that mileage, it should look brand-new.
Are you sure that it doesn't have 101,100 miles?
(older bikes with mechanical odometers "turned over" at 100,000. I had 99,700 on mine when I sold it)
