Hi everyone,
I have a very funny problem. My bike gets dtc code p0263. I know that this is rear injector open/low efi. It is an 06 superglide 35th anniversary model with about 17000 on it. So I washed and cleaned my bike then went for a ride to eat lunch with my mom. I rode 126 miles there came back about 80 miles and made a pit stop. When I got back on the highway everything was fine until I shifted into 6th gear then I started having hesitation/lugging problems. I pulled over to make sure everything was as ok as I could get it on the side of the road. And limped home the rest of the way. When I got home I checked my relays and fuses which didn't look too awesome so I changed them. Now for the weird part. I can reset the codes and the bike will idle perfectly fine on its kickstand but as soon as I pick it up straight the rear cuts out code throws again and it is choppy as can be. Also leaning it to the other side it runs fine. I am really confused and looking for help.
I would look into changing the O2 sensor.... If you look, (rub a cloth) in your tail pipe, you should find an abnormal amount of carbon buildup...(un-burned fuel). the engine is going into the "Limp mode".
Believe I would start by checking the connection at the rear injector....and the connector and wiring leading to it.
Look for anything that might be loose...broken...or worn thru.
