has any body been? its in bc canada. one of the most expensive rallies ever. its the 2nd sturgis rally. i know people that went from bc to the REAL sturgis for less then what it cost to go to the rally where they live. i hate places that try to make a buck off other peoples name. its BS when is come down to making money and not about good people and bikes, babes and beer.
well thats my rant!!
I live less than one hour away and i am not going for the reasons you mentioned. It might be a big ralley but the organizers are too money hungry for my blood.
I agree. I can't stand the fact that they use the name Sturgis, trying to capitalize on the real rally. It's all about making money, on the biker theme. You know if they called it something else I would probably show a little interest, but I've got better things to do with my money.
I read that the promoter is 200k in the hole from the last one, so if he loses money on this one, then we probably won't see another which is fine by me.
I'm looking forward to the Oyster run in September. Just the cost of getting your *** down there.
Does the real Sturgis cost money to show up, and walk around ?
Doesn't cost to walk around Sturgis, but costs to get into almost any attraction around Sturgis, including the campgrounds, parks, etc.... Not an inexpensive trip. Spent about 6 or 7 grand to go out last year by myself. Bout 2 grand of that was fuel and repairs along the way. Would do it again in a second....., if I had the cash and vacation time! Lol.

Hey Crazy, it is free to go to the rally. There are events going on in Sicamous and Salmon Arm. But if you want to see the entertainment at the motorplex you have to pay. They have bands going on most of the day with headliners in the evening. Top notch bands.
I was there. It was a super event. Me and my friends all had a great time.
