Yes, it richens the fuel mixture so the engine is not running so lean and hot.

I put an oil cooler on my bike. Now it runs tween 150* - 200* .. It used to run at 250* before the installation...

In my experience, having done my Stage I a single step at a time starting with a PCV, the oil temps did not reflect a significant change with just the PCV. But the combustion chamber temps are probably hard to get a handle on by reading the oil temp. If you richen the fuel mixture you're certainly lowering the combustion temps which is important IMHO.

The intake/exhaust system itself should be addressed to complete the entire package and maximize your efforts in lowering the operating temps of the motor.

I went from a fully stock bike for about 2.5 yrs and did the PCV first, then the V&H headers to get ride of the CAT, then the SE Air Cleaner, then the mufflers, then Jagg oil cooler. All combined my oil temps are now noticeably cooler by at least 20-25*.

By next year I plan to have the cyl head fan system that Fabrik8r has designed. After that AutoTune for the PCV will be the icing on the cake to complete it all.

Without question the one single item that lowered operating temps the most was the oil cooler.

They work wonders, FA ratio is what it's all about. I'll sell you one for $175.

I've got a pcv on my cammed 106. Highway at 70 the bike gets 50mpg.
As far as temps I put a jagg 10 row on so that helped significantly.
The tuning device does exactly what the programmer programs it to do. It's a decent tuner, just be sure to have it tuned by a pro

with the right map it will help the bike run cooler. It can also eliminate the popping from the exhaust when your using the engine to slow yourself down.
