Enjoy this time, its the most exciting part about riding. That adrenaline and fear and joy you are getting right now while learning will slowly go away with time and will just be joy. Not that its a bad thing but you will miss the rush you were use to getting.

Being near the center line is a biker approved habit since it usually makes you more visible. So she passed in your lane-- that's better than her not seeing you &/or passing on your left when you are turning left. If you had been in a car, the old bag would probably still passed on the right. You did good blocking your left side.

Leaving stop signs in 2nd gear always pisses me off several times every year.

Welcome to the fraternity.

Default It's A Kick!

Practice, practice, practice! Ride as if your life depends on it, because it does! Sooner or later you are bound to get more comfortable with it and when you do you will be at the most dangerous point! COMPLACENCY KILLS! Never ride faster than your angel can fly and you'll be enjoying it the rest of your life.

Only a heathen would believe god doesn't ride a Harley. A heathen tattooed with a snake coming out of the eye socket of scull lying upon dead red roses.

I like it that you can ride with your eyes closed. I can only do it for short periods when I doze off on long rides after a heavy meal.

it is a sincere post. im not sure why you would think it wasnt? but anyway if ive offended you i apologize that was not my intention....so anyway i put 120 miles on her today 90% of them were in town. alot of the unstableness at 60mph was me being scared but im still not convinced shes spose' to ride like that. I got my starting and stopping issues worked out I think. I am a much better rider now then I was this morning ill tell you that. but by time i parked her i was a nervous wreck. constantly on the look out for bad guys is stressful after 10 hours. oh and riding when the sun goes down was f*&^in amazing!! im already tryin to figure out the long way to work tomorrow. sorry for gushin like a schoolgirl but this is the best day of my life. now ive gotta go watch **** in my underwear to get some of my manhood back. lol

Ummmmmmmmmmm. You have **** in your underwear??
As for your bike being unstable at 60mph...the faster you go the more stable it gets....gyroscopic action and all. The slower you go the more unstable it is...and that is where you have to practice. SLOOOOOOW riding. And don't be afraid of riding in the gravel. The more you do it the more confident you will become in your ability to control the bike and able to ride in all types of situations.
You sound like a youngster with no previous experience riding a motorcycle. There is no better way to learn than practice, practice, practice. Watch some videos on Police rodeos. Those dudes know how to ride slow. Practice that stuff.
Welcome to the forum and ridedom.
