Woo hoo!!!!
yeah,I bought a 2004 heritage classic.
"That bike-riding thing can be addictive..."
yeah ive been riding since tuesday mornin and got over 620 miles so far.(course im only riding locally and got work and stuff also, but I ride on all my free time) was hopin to hit 1000 by tuesday but dont think im gonna make it. 750 should be doable tho.
so far the car folk have been fairly decent to me, those who have pulled out in front of me have given me enough room to avoid em so far. started yesterday riding with the wife on back. that complicates turns and makes it more noticable when cracks or something pull your tires into em' but its going well.we went to poopys today ( a "biker bar" where all the doctors and lawyers on harleys go to get assembly line tattos and t-shirts with naughty words on em') its about an hour and a half from the house with lots of traffic. nonstop oncoming cars and a car on your *** the whole time. it was a lil stressful at highway speeds surrounded by cars but we made er' just fine. asses were sore but fine otherwise.
as far as the glasses go I intend to get prescription riding glasses after vacation in august.
One other thing..you can't cram years of experience into a couple of days.I hope that makes sense to you.

I understand what your saying I am not gonna become a pro overnight. it will take time ,
but I think you can count your riding experience by the miles you've ridden, not necessarily how long you've owned your bike.
I have friends who have owned a harley for five to ten years, yet they only take it out once or twice a year. im less then a week in and I would pit my riding skill against theirs anyday.
