Brooks leather jackets are made for riders. With your arms at your sides, the sleeves will go half way down your hands. On the handlebars, it's perfect. Have had mine for 25 years.
my experience has been a positive one over the last year with the HD jackets
I bought two really nice ones on clearance from my local dealership
one was a $445 retail that I got for $112 because my size 3XL is not popular I guess, the other I got 2XL with a reflective design on the back was also on a major clearance and I got a $395 retail for $94
look on the clearance racks at your dealer during the summer, you can find gems there.
I have a similar jacket to the one you posted, midweight leather, really like it, great fit, very comfortable. I'm satisfied with my purchase.
And I did have a Fox Creek jacket and it is outstanding quality. However, it just didn't fit me right and I found myself not wearing it, eventually sold it.
Well....I own 3 HD leather jackets (one is a Billings, one is a Race jacket and one is a Speed jacket)
they're excellent jackets, somewhat heavy and fit well for riding purposes....been recently to a HD dealer and I was checking out the new leather...and in my opinion, compared to the older ones...the leather is now somehow softer than it used to be...not my personal liking, though...
Exactly. The leather seems too soft. If you're anywhere near Fall River, MA, I reccommend checking out Vanson Leathers. Great American made MC leathers of all different types and styles. You can buy them online, but sizing can be a problem. They are pricey, though. A full price Vanson CHP style jacket can cost $750.

The only (possible) complain I have is that I've worn my jacket now for a little less than a year and the black is fading into brown (or the dye is just coming off). But I ride every day and wear my jacket almost every time I ride, so I'm not surprised that it's changing color.
I personally sorta like the brown coming in sometimes; makes it look like you are using it, but the oil makes it black again and is supposed to kill off fungus or whatever (the pine pitch er whatever it is).
