Default help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi there need some help asap, i just bought a 03 electraglide and ever since i bought it cant get comfortable on it at all, stock bars made my left shoulder burn after about thirty min ride so went the cheap route and got a ten inch bar still the same thing so i went back to what i had on my old bike and went to 14 inch wilds with a 10 inch pull back now its worse my shoulder muscles and neck are sore and act like i pulled something i then tought i was to far up on the bike so i put a c&c seat on in and relieve at first now back to the same prob after a short ride, im 5;7 and dont have any prob reaching or touching the ground, im wondering if the pullback has my shoulders angled wrong, or since its a touring bike that its not the hight thats important so should i go higher or a lil lower with the bars ? any advise would be awsome

It might just be a question of getting used to it. When I first got my Road King (which had, and still has, stock bars) my right wrist would be pretty painful after a while. I stuck out, thinking it might just be because my joints were now being held at a different angle that I wasn't used. And guess what? After maybe two weeks, all pain had gone and the bike is just as comfy as I thought it would be.

Tough it out for a little longer and see what happens - it's cheaper than changing bars and seats possibly un-necessarily.

Sit on your bike with with the bike upright and level. Close your eyes, reach your arms and hands out to where they are comfortable. Now look at your hands. That is where your grips should be.

Like another said, relax while your riding, dump the death grip on the bars.
I think that may be your problem. Being tense all the time will get to you quickly!

Not sure what if anything you rode before, but a touring bike can be intimidating when you first jump on one. Relax enjoy the ride. Once you get used to it and are comfortable with it you can think about new bars, seat, etc.

I know this might sound ridiculous, but have you thought about an adjustable driver backrest? It might correct your posture, give you more support and help you relax more. Plus, try adjusting the bars back and forth.

What the others have said is true too. Relax.
