Yep. We keep things simple in Nebraska !! If you ever have a chance, though, ride up through the Crawford / Fort Robinson area (Hwy 71). Nice camping and scenery: like you are in another state completely AND on the way to Sturgis.

Nebraska grows on ya. Scenery changes depending what part of the state you're in. Unfortunately the I80 corridor is kinda boring, but that's not the entire state.

Although I was born in Omaha, I had never been in that part of the state (I had been on I-80 as far as Kearney). A few years ago, my middle son, who is an actor, was doing summer stock at Fort Robinson and my wife and I went out to see him perform. I was impressed with the beautiful countryside and magnificent buttes and how un-Nebraska-like it seemed to me. I wasn't riding there (I flew into Chadron) but I'd like to ride from there up into the Black Hills. I've only done it in a cage so far.

Cool. I love to camp at Fort Rob and go to the Playhouse: always a good time ! Beautiful area: I go damn near every summer: I may have seen your son perform !

Yup, gotta agree central Nebraska is quite boring.............on I-80. I live in Lincoln and I take HWY 34 to Grand Island, then HWY 2 to 385 up to the Black HIlls. Its a great ride!! Did it a month ago, doing it again TOMORROW!! Sturgis Rally 2012.
