Thats what i was thinking, if you're scraping a guard bar, you're in deep sheet..

I have taken them off every bike I've owned that they were on...I hate the way they look.

I like them because I don't have to lift my bike from layin' flat on the ground. It's only 1/2 way down when I drop it....or someone knocks it over.

Love um or hate em..........They save paint jobs and injury.........dam near like a back up kick stand when she goes over. Seen em in action a few times......They work well.

My footpegs and exhaust on my '11 FXDWG scrape long before my engine guard gets close to the ground. I wouldn't worry about it scraping. I've got mine for function and comfort. I haven't been able to find extended forward controls for my bike, so I put highway pegs on my guard.
