I just stash my rain shell I use for climbing trips in my swing arm bag to use for surprise showers. $40 for the pants and $60 for the jacket; can't really go wrong. Small, light, and very packable, they take up no space in my bag and keep me dry if the weather turns (which it does here a lot)

I have the HD suit that a lot of guys mention and I like it but I also have the gortex rain gear for work made by Carhartt and that thing is the bomb

I have an HD suit and it's worked perfectly in the past... But on my last wet trip, I got soaked and it seemed like the rain went right through the suit... It was raining hard, but still... I was thinking of treating the suit with a scotch guard type spray...

Has anyone had any experience treating a suit like that?

Thanks

Damn, for $1000, you can get a used car which is better than any rain suit!!

Very true . . . a good set of Foulies will trump any sort of MC Rain Gear . . . nothing like being actually completely "under water" to test a suits ability not to leak!
