Smile Which Chrome Grips?

Hey Guys

Have been wanting to upgrade my grips on my 2007 Heritage classic softail and didn't know which company to go with?

I see alot of Kuryakyn Chrome and Rubber Grips but Don't know about their Quality as I have heard and read alot that these are CRAP !!! Don't really see or know what they are made of? Billet Chrome or plastic?

I am looking for Quality Chrome Grips --i want Billet Chrome Grips but Don't see alot of what these grips are made of? Arlen Ness Products look good but Expensive.....

Doesn't really matter Cost vs. Quality but Would like something that I am not mortgaging the house over a nice pair of Grips and maybe pegs/floorboards to match.

Any Ideas and good place to look online for such items?

The Kuryakyn ISO Grips are not "crap". They are chrome with rubber inserts. Very comfortable grips, which is why you see them on alot of bikes, including mine.

The only thing I don't like about the Kuryakyn ISO grips is that the rubber melts in the heat. Probably not a problem if you don't live on the face of the sun like I do...

However, I like the Avon Air Cushon Grips better.

I have the Harley narrow band billet grips. It seems no matter what, the rubber gets sticky over time (had the stealth ones prior); these have very little of the rubber, and an easy to grip knurl.

I have used ISO's for years and they've held up better than any HD grips I ever used. Never had a problem with the rubber or the chrome. One thing to consider is that solid chrome grips get really hot in the summer sun so plan on wearing gloves if you use them.

I have these also. Along with the matching shifter pegs and brake pedal pad. Love them. About two or three times a year, I put a little STP Son of a Gun on my finger tip and run it over the rubber parts. Let them sit over night then wipe off with a cloth. Keeps them nice and black, and prevented total meltdown this summer when it hit 110 degrees several days in a row. I tend to wear at least fingerless gloves though too, so I don't know how tacky they became. But, they still look great and work good.
