Default ear phones while riding

Anyone do this? My friend just said his dad wears them while riding. I had thought about it before, but thought you would probably have to crank it so loud just to hear it that it would be TOO loud. Plus, I'm not sure if it's legal (in michigan).

Not legal but I do it anyway. Ear buds when I ride with a skid lid and on my 3/4 I found a pair of skull Candy speakers that sit in the helmet.

I rock the Skull Candy earbuds as well, and they hold up at speed and do a reasonable job at reducing wind noise too.

I use ear buds and my IPOD on longer rides. Some songs I can't hear everything but for the most part, I can hear the music fine. Sometimes, I will pause the music when going through a town so I'm certain to hear everything around me.

J&M speakers in my helmet - I wouldn't travel without them (or the helmet).

There are several brands that have noise reduction ear buds and noise cancellation ear buds.

I use the ones from Apple because they have the iPod controls built in.

There are other brands that have this also and I tried a few of them but didn't like them.

My experience is that the heavier ones (made from aluminum) were more susceptible to having the wind blow them out of my ears. However, your mileage may vary.

I think it was Michigan i was stopped by a State Trooper and he told me only one ear not both so i played nice until the border.... Then again it might have been Minnesota

I do it all the time. I used to use Skull Candy ear buds but now I use Ultimate Ears by Logitech. They are vastly superior to the Skull Candy. I have a RAM mount on my handlebars that holds my iPhone (in otterbox) and I stream my XM radio or iTunes.
