The M.C. thing is way overated but every time it gets brought up it is good for a laugh. For the most part those wearing 3 piece patches should be call motorcycle clubbers not bikers. Their world is about club life not actually riding the damn bikes they own. Myself I'm sick of the whole biker M.C. crap. If you have a bike then ride the thing. I'm thinking a sleeveless shirt, tennis, and overalls is pretty good riding apparel when I just want to relax and enjoy the ride. Done the MC thing, I decided I would rather actually ride.

i think some of yall should see if you can get a hdforums patch and start a club. the top rocker could say Harley. and the bottom patch could be what ever bike forum you frequent the most lol. actually isn't the posers club a 1% mc lol.

I know it's an old thread but dang. If you want a three piece patch go earn it. If you don't want to earn it why wear it. To me this is similar to the putzs that want to dress up like military members that haven't been in. People need to quit trying to capitalize on something they haven't done.

I too believe we can wear anything we want. I also believe someone will challenge you about it and you best be very very prepared to defend that decision. A total lack of street smarts is not just missing in you but in several others here. You can cry "freedom and liberty" all you want when a street gang in Chicago decides you have offended them.

well put it's as simple as that you didn't earn it don't think about wearing you didn't hang around you didn't probate you bought a bike doesn't mean ish. While on the subject of the military wearing a 3 piece when you didn't earn is the biker version of stolen Valor. Hang around for 60 probate for 100 ride to and work a national same with 4 regionals and 3 funerals. That's literally only half and if you can't see why full patches get upset with a poser you need a vacation I hear Kabul is nice this time of year hahaha deuces

I'm not a 1% and never will be but I respect their choice of lifestyle and would not do anything to give the impression that I'm a part of it. I would not pin a policeman's badge on my vest or wear a Marine corps emblem and I'll not wear a 3 piece patch either. Just my 2 cents.
well said, why taunt people … Some instances may bring up questions that can’t be answered correctly and words can be taken out of context and get you in a heap of trouble.
The way I dress as a motorcyclist may look generic and boring but it certainly safe.
I have walked up to many people in the biker community and stroked up conversations about biking and the life they lead never came up. We both had motorcycles in common, that to me was enough a d a good ice breaker.

Be a good human.

If he had started a new thread, someone would have said “Why don’t you use the search function, plenty of threads on the topic.”

I didnt read the entire thing, but the parts I did made this giant thread seem kind of pointless. Granted I don't get the concept of dressing a certain way because I have a bike, so maybe I'm out of the loop. If I was in a club (which as a teenager was an aspiration, but never pursued) I'd be proud of my patches, no doubt. I'm not though, so I see no point in impersonating them. If it's cold enough for a jacket I throw on my carhartt. I spent 8 years in the infantry before I trashed my back. I'd take offense to someone who hasn't been there running around with a CIB, but I can't for the life of me understand why someone who hasn't been there would want to 🤷‍♂️
