Pulled a wheelie!
I'm not a showboat. By any means.
In fact I lifted the front end of motorcycles 3 times in my life.
First was a 600 cc dirtbike, lifted the front end and ran about 30 yards with it..........ok, I might a been showing off there,
albeit to myself...... the second was recently with the present bike, (power shifting 2nd).But that was just a small lift.
But Yesterday was not expected and quite frankly rather surprising.
I was being tailgated ( which really annoys me).
When I turned left onto a route numbered roadway, I wanted too put some distance between me and the tailgater, I was in 3rd, downshifted too 1st, and cracked the throttle.
Whoa-ho!! horizon dissappeared, And I was at full apex!
( any farther would of been an *** ended assault). Strangely enough I wasn't panicked,
The bike was settled underneath me ,albeit on one wheel. And I could of easily rode it out for a awhile.
However My intentions were too avoid a bothersome car, and not to stunt ride. I quickly moved my throttle forward, :note: I didn't release the grip at this point. I merely closed the throttle. Down went the front end and away I went.
In hind sight I think it best just too wave the next tailgater by and enjoy my ride.......till the next asshat arrives.
Btw; It was just like those you tube videos! but this time I was the camera!!

Of course, you understand that everything following this statement completely negates it, right?
You'll get no congrats or high fives from me. IMO, it just sounds like reckless riding from a guy who obviously doesn't know or respect the power of his own bike.

I figured it wouldn't take long for the mouth-breathers to come out and slam you for "being unsafe". Wheelies are fun, I try to remember to do at least one a week. Of course, with the Buell, its easy.....

pulled one on my old TDM forgot not to brake with the front as well when airborne got me an unexpected stopie as well , have fun
Saw loads of HD owner riding on the other side of the motorway in strict formation controlled by road master/controller in their red wast coats ensuring they do as told this is not fun
