Hi to all from uk, i'm trying to trace the history of my glide imported from across the pond last year.came through harley traders, the guy i bought it from has had no reply from them as regarding the history/service records,it has one blue and one white light om the rear fender onr either side, possibly police? 2 stick on badges on windshield florida police association, and honary member command officers association also American eagle etched on inside of windscreen, believed from Newyork state according to bike inspection label. any help would be much appreciated.
I had a 1996 FLHR. The guy I got it from claimed it had a remanufactured motor. I called HD, gave them the VIN. They verified the motor rebuild and gave me a date. They also gave me the name of the dealer that originally sold it, and the dealer that sent to motor in for the reman.
Two more calls to the dealers and I was able to piece together most of the bike's history.
Thanks for that i,ve spoken to woodstock harley in nys i got the impression that the guy i spoke to had better things to do,maybe i caught him on a bad day? they had service history up to 2008 but of course they won't give out any owners details, but i may try and see if they can contact him/her on my behalf worth a go.thanks again.
