Default Fork lock

I have A 1996 roadking police the forklock is locked and cant get to unlock how do I get the headlight ***. apart and get the fork lock out? I just got this bike and the lock worked great locked it last night now will not unlock thanks

Dd you "unload" the pressure from the lock by pushing the forks a little more to the left and then turning the fork lock towards "unlock" at the same time?

Tumblers may be dry. Spray some silicone lube in there. Don't you know.... everything works bette with a little lube.

Yes it's like the tumblers are messed up ,have oiled the lock,blew it out with air, the key just will not turn. aaaand tryed both keys. bikes been seting for 2 years in a garage so its is clean except for dust.

How do I find the screws to remove the handlebar riser coverthats all I need to remove to remove the Vacelle halfs?

Found the screws just needed A better light thanks for all the input now to get A new fork lock still will not unlock !(die grinders and whatever to get it off)
