i was looking at this cleaner. is the extra 10 hp due to the forward facing of the air cleaner, or the materials used in the cleaner itself. honestly, i'm less about looks than performance...
I run the S&S single bore tuned kit on mine and it will move alot of air. A bit of over kill for my motor but it looks good and you can put your hand on it and the air is alot cooler going in.
There's only so much air an engine can use. If a TC engine uses, for example, 180cfm and there's one filter that flows 200cfm and another that flows 240cfm; the 240cfm isn't going to perform better or add more power than the one that flows 200cfm. The engine can only use 180cfm either way.
I actually prefer the look of the flat ones, however, the *** test says my knee presses against the flat ac, whereas my knee is slightly below the elbow on the forward facing cones...makes the ride a bit more comfortable
