Harley mechanic
Anyone knows a good Harley mechanic in Fairfax, Loudoun or Leesburg area in Virginia? I do not like going to the dealer. Last time I took my bike to Patriot in Fairfax they messed up all the screws they touched.
Anyway, I will like to do some customization and regular services. If anyone knows anyone please let me know.

Don't have any recommendations on mechanics in your area, but I'll bump this for ya and add that it may be a good idea to make some friends who can do this kind of work, if all you're talking is bolt-ons, maintenance and oil changes. Beer and a pizza goes a long way toward getting some work done. I'd put in a few hours for ya for that and some good bike conversation. Well, I don't drink, but a couple liters of lemonade or Coke would work for me...

Not sure where in NOVA you are. Mike Whaley has done a lot of work on my bike and on friend's bikes. He's in Faquier county off of Rte 17 near Midland. Call him at (571)-331-6166. John Helvey at Pure Hell Customs in Manassas has done dyno work for me and has woked on other friend's bikes. Call his shop at (703) 335-1447. Mike is a one man operation and has worked at most all of the metro DC dealers. Very meticulous. John has three or four guys working for him and does great work. Let us know who you decide to go with and how it turns out.
