Depends on the chrome. Not the new Harley Chinese chrome.

I've seen powder coat hit with a hammer, no damage. Try that with chrome.

I've chipped powder coat with a wrench. Never chrome. But it's all in who and how it's done. Personally I'll take chrome over powder coat. My lowers are the Harley kit. Been on for 4 1/2 years. Ridden in all weather. Look like new.

Mine too. Bought the Harley kit at discount. Very good quality.
