I always thought chrome was a harder finish than Powder Coat. ???

It is. Chrome is more durable. And swapping lower legs is a few hour job at best. If you have the tools and know what your doing. First time may take longer but it's not rocket science. You can do it with patience and a manual.

I've seen powder coat hit with a hammer, no damage. Try that with chrome.

I've chipped powder coat with a wrench. Never chrome. But it's all in who and how it's done. Personally I'll take chrome over powder coat. My lowers are the Harley kit. Been on for 4 1/2 years. Ridden in all weather. Look like new.
