My last road trip for the year, Savannah to Pigeon Forge Tn., I stop in a small town called Madison to get something to eat. What a beautiful city, if anyone wants to see what a old southern town looks like, check out Madison Georgia, glad I stopped there.

I don't live far from Madison. cool little town along several others in the area. Time hasn't really caught up with a lot of places in Ga. Good to know there is still the home town feel.We usually do the Memorial day ride out of Loganville and ends in Madison. Great troop support shown by the town and all involved.Ga. just isn't Atlanta it's still got an economy even in the times we are having with this country it's still affordable to live. Love it here.

Madison is known as the town too pretty to burn. When Sherman made his march from Atlanta to Savannah, there were only two towns his troops came across that were spared of being ravaged and burned - Madison because it was too pretty, and Macon because it feigned a cholera epidemic. It seems that if a town doesn't think it's pretty enough, it hangs epidemic flags on its perimeter. Hey, it worked.

'Primostoy' happened onto a real gem in Madison and when you come through Georgia, please visit it yourself. And when you get through, come on down to Macon. It's real pretty, too.

I have family in Unadilla, Oglethorp, Byromville, Macon, all over Dooly County, always feel like I am home when I am in Georgia.

I'm from Athens Ga originally. Madison is a great little town. It was hard to appreciate in my 20's, especailly being from a college town. Now that I am older I can truly appreciate its beauty and lack of overall congestion. I hope it never changes.
