Sorry I haven't been able to reply for some reason. One of your friends on the site contacted me to see if I can help you. I hope I am replying in the correct way.
We ave our Derby covers powder coated before our process, but it is with a different chemical for the gas infused image. WE could not separate out the finishes on the cover. We put the image on the cover and some airbrushing, but mostly the image. I hope this helps. My email is chryle@gmx.com. But I also received a message when you posted.
Sincerely,
Cheryle
I am looking to get a custom derby cover made with the attached image. I have seen some awesome firemen badges of great quality, some photos printed on from Venom imaging, and custom etchers.
I am looking to match, or at least get close enough for it to look good, the orange roses to my HD orange moto.
I think I have a starting place, but any advice might get me going.
Thanks in advance...
You probably found someone already but, I use Etchings by PIG. They do excellent work at a reasonably cost.
Thank You my fellow members for the help and advice. My custom cover is almost in the mail and I am very happy. and here she is......ignore the white line from the light
Very nice! I e-mailed DLderbycappers or whatever it is about 2 months ago and they never bothered to respond.
Sandy took a toll on them and the timing was not the fastest, however I know they took time to get it the way I wanted it, which speaks for the quality and attention. Cheryle is my only contact and she explained that she had to oversee it to make sure I was taken care of.
My experience with them is top rate because I am not worried about time as much as quality in this case.
