Default Another deadly sunday here.

Seemed like from the time we let here yesterday 10:30am we saw PD,FD,EMS in response.
By 1pm we came upon a MC who just had a Jeep turn left in front of him, PD there but FD ,EMS not yet. Stopped to help [2 of us EX FD] Rider had broken leg but was wearing his AGATT. EMS arrived 5-6 minutes after. This road is straight, conditions and visability excellent. The rider had broken skid marks, ABS or proficent rider IMHO. Rider in fairly bright gear. IMHO the jeep pulled in front of him, panicked and STOPPED in the riders lane.
Today I p/u my news paper: 2 left turners killed 2 in 2 seperate accidents, 2 others w/hospital trips locally. All MC's taken out by cars.
Please be careful, the leaf peepers are out to kill us.
Usually I love this time of year to ride as many are couch potatoing w/NFL/MLB.
Not yesterday.

Never totally trust the road IMHO. I AGREE! Pratice is a good thing
My 2 sons ride and tending to a young injured rider gives me the jitters about them on the road with all the clueless phuckers out there.

The only thing I fear worse than left turners are the deer.

I get more people turning in front of me when they are pointed into the sun, we are a lot more invisible as a silhouette.
