I always carry two point and shoots on trips. A cheap one and a nice one. I use the cheap one for my in-motion stuff and take a lot of photos on the run, such as this one that I shot over my head:

I like the "waterproof" idea. I had... HAD a digital camera I kept in my T-Bag sissy bag bag until it got rained on. The bag is not waterproof and the camera is now ruined. My next one will be waterproof just in case.

Last year I carried a Fuji Z30 pocket camera with me. It's small enough to fit in a jacket pocket. This year I have an iPhone, and I've found the camera in the iPhone is even better than the Fuji, so I just carry the iPhone. I'm impressed with the photos it takes.

Leica V-Lux ll goes in the saddle bags, along with tripod.Screen,or thru the lens viewing,16 megapixel and 16 power zoom, image stabilization, gives all kinds of framing choices. Can't always count on somebody being around to snap a pic for you,and a top quality camera gives you the versatility to take pics under any conditions.

For you guys with GoPros....how do you have yours mounted? I was thinking of getting one and I think I'd have to put it on my engine guard?

I carry a small digital Canon in my jacket. I like the idea of having a cheap one handy for moving shots. I may start doing that.

I like taking some pictures, but since I was a little kid I've disliked those dorky tourists with the big camera around their neck, so my first rule is that it has to fit in a shirt pocket. I carry a Kodak EasyShare M340 that I got before going to Afghanistan, in 2009. It has taken well over 10,000 pictures, I'm sure, benn dropped, carried in my pocket with sand until I can barely see the screen, but it still works great and takes great pictures. I'm thinking of finding a newer one like it on Ebay. I have taken it out and taken pictures while riding before, but I need to put a neck strap on to avoid dropping it while riding.

Olympus Tough in the saddlebag. It is always in there. But, iphone is in my pocket, which I find we are using more and more for quick shots.
