jackets
It is not full of armor, and is not vented either, but when it gets hot i have other jackets to wear. I always ask myself how much will I use it. I used to wear this one all day everyday for many years. Excellent quality.
that produce good jackets.expect to pay at least 350.00 to 480.00 for the company jackets.

'05 Race jacket from Harley (don't recall the name)
'06 Switchback from Harley
'06 FXRG Nylon
All very nice jackets. I have been able to wear the leather in temps between 30 and 80 degrees and I was more or less comfortable. I have only had a chance to wear the FXRG twice... it is comfortable and the only "complaint" I have would be for the velcro closure on the wind barrier before you zip up. And the switchback is a great jacket... Three jackets in one with the most used being the mesh configuaration.
That all being said... if I need another "heavy" leather I am going to look to Fox Creek. I just got saddle bags and a vest from them.... Their stuff is made VERY well. I have worn the vest a couple of times now and it fits great and is VERY comfortable.
One thing I noticed about Fox Creek Vs. Harley (at least for vests) is that they make their stuff like people did in the 80's. Remember way back when if you wanted to get a dress shirt they were mostly what they called "atheletic cut?" Basically the shoulders were bigger than the waist... you know... like how people are typically built. Now everything is what they call "box cut" and it is a total pain in the @ss not to look like a slob wearing that stuff.
Look at the diff:
fox creek:

Harley:

I know the way they take the pic makes a difference, but I tried the Harley one on first and it fit like the picture looks. Fox Creek's jackets look to be made similar to the way they make the vests.
Now... my Harley Jacket is nice... I like it a lot and I am sure it is going to last for a long time... The leather is nice... the liner is crap. And the jacket fits well but it does have a lot of room in the middle... It fits me in the shoulders but I have to ratchet the waist down for it to be comfortable.
Just something to think about when you are looking...
