Check Classic on there too. Bought a monotube and 944's this month. Best price, no freight, and received, well packaged in about 4 days. Been very happy with their shipments and prices.
Just to clear things up a bit, this was not bought from Amazon but from Powersport Superstore through Amazon.com. Therein lies the difference. Amazon is more or less the middleman. Anyway, i have done what i set out to do and i feel i have gotten my $11 worth of vengeance. From now on if someone does a search for Powersport Superstore this thread will come up.
Thanks for the heads up. They will not get any of my business (Powersport Superstore)
Powersport Superstore has been the subject of many threads ... none of them good. They operate out of a store front not too far from my farm... rode by one day, just to check them out .. bogus operation! Drop shipper ( have no beef with a drop shipper as long as they are righteous) crappy customer service!
This concerns Powersport Superstore and buying through Amazon.com. I recently ordered a replacement hydraulic primary chain tensioner shoe from Powersport Superstore in Texas through Amazon checkout. The part came loose in a box with a stick on number on the box. It was the 1/8" oversize shoe instead of the regular replacement. The box had the correct part # but the wrong part inside. No manufacturers name on the box or anything, just a printed number on a stick-on label. They are made by Southern Oregon Hot Bikes and distributed through Tucker Rocky. I contacted them to return it since it was the last one they had in stock. They insisted they had sent me the right part and would not admit the wrong part was in the right box even after several emails explaining what it was. I honestly don't think they even knew what the part was. I returned it and only received $20.50 out of my purchase price of $28.95. Their explanation was it was not in it's original condition or packaging. I returned it in bubble wrap, certainly better that the loose unwrapped part rattling around in a box. The little paper stick on label pulled off from removing the poorly wrapped tape. That was their justification for a "restocking" fee. Of course they don't refund shipping even if it's their fault they sent the wrong part. The return shipping was $3.25 at my expense by the way. Incredibly poor business model and the thing about going through amazon, if the vendor wants to do something like this, you have no recourse to go through Amazon to get the rest of your money back. My advice to anyone contemplating ordering any parts or anything else through Amazon.com is not to do it. Same thing for Powersport Superstore. In all my years of ordering i have never dealt with anyone like this so don't say you weren't warned if you try to buy something from these clowns.
Ordered a Xena disk lock thru Amazon/Poweresport Superstore. It was my fault and I ordered the wrong size. I called Powersports and they were very courteous and instructed me how to return to them and they gave credit on my Visa and they ate the shipping charge to me and I paid the shipping charge to them. The credit showed on my Visa account within a couple days and since they did not have the size I needed I purchased it thru another vendor/Amazon.
let the buyer beware i suppose. even though i haven't had any bad experiences with amazon,i am sure it does happen. what about your credit card company??? any recourse with them??
you know what is even worse, when you order a package it gets delivered to wrong house and you never get what you paid for-- going thru it on ebay for a speedometer reset cable. not the price, but the principle.
I don't know about bike parts, but having lived in Afghanistan for a year, i'd have died without Amazon. They're just about the only company that will ship to an APO and I probably spent over $2000 with them when I was there.
Read starting from the bottom, this was two months after I gave them a negative review.

I was going through the feedback and came across yours. I was looking into the issue that had occurred to see what had happened to create a negative experience. I didnt see where we had explained to you what had happened and wanted to let you know what the error was. We do strive to create positive experiences and while this situation is regrettable we do want to see if there is anything we can do for you now or in the future to help you out.

If there was a issue, one would think a simple message explaining would of been easy enough to do then. Why now two months later?

An update. Amazon did come through after all so i have to give them credit for that. After being notified by amazon the case was closed, seller had issued refund, and i apparently should be happy for being screwed out of $8, i got a refund out of the blue from amazon for $8!! No notification or anything but Amazon did come through after almost a month. The message simply said "out of stock". They did make it right although the seller could care less. I hope they deducted $8 from their account. I did get another chain tensioner shoe from another vendor off ebay and it was just exactly what it was supposed to be.
