I'm planning to go through there in my way out to South Dakota this summer, unless I'm back in Afghanistan (slim chance). I'd actually rather go to Afghanistan, but through Milwaukee to Deadwood is my second choice.

Went there in September. I was very lucky as I had a VIP tour and was introduced to Bill, Willie G's grandson who runs the museum.
Make sure you don't rush it as there is loads to see.

i was there 2 years ago with a friend and spent 3 hours looking at all the stuff. we didn't get the headphones. there are placards to read with all the displays so expect to do lots of reading while you're there. jmo, the headphones would be a distraction.
