Default Harley Davidson Museum

Very excited. Just found out I will be in Milwaukee on the 8th and 9th of December. Going to the Packers game on the 9th but will be staying in Milwaukee. Plan on spending the 8th at the HD Museum. I am wondering who has been there and if there is something not to miss while I am there. This is a trip I will probably never be able to make again and don't want to miss anything.

I visited the museum a couple of years ago. It was a great experience. Lots of interesting old bikes. I really liked the XLCR. I wanted one back in 87 but there were none to be found.

The museum is a really neat place. My advice would be to give yourself plenty of time. Some people may only want to spend a few hours there, some a whole day. So be sure to giver yourself whatever amount of time you want while you are there.

Thumbs up HD Museum

If you are into your Harley, you have to go there at least once.

My Wife and I went there as part of a weekend get-away for us from the rat-race.

It is fascinating, interesting, fun, a photo-op extravaganza, historical, eye-opening as far as how wide HD has gone in other mechanical fields, and over-all, very satisfying for any HD owner.

I've been riding Harleys for more than 34 years, and it was cooler than I imagined.

There is a sense of deep History there, including a tidbit about a great American President.

You don't really need any tips to enjoy it, just take your time, and see every exhibit.....

You will Love It!

I've been there a few times. I absolutely love it. If you get a chance the steel toe tour is fun, you get to head up to the pilgrim road plant to see the engines being made.

I highly recommend eating at Motor, the restaurant there...if you like dark beer I recommend the Motor Oil which is made by a local brewery called the riverfront brewing company.

Been there 3 times and have always found something new and still appreciated the familiar. You could spend a day within 50 feet of the entrance reading the fascinating beginnings of the Moco complete with pictures and documentation. The Tsunami bike is downstairs- very moving. The Motor Bar is not bad at all.

you do realize that you are going to have to pay top dollar for this tour. free museum tour should be included with every harley purchase...that is how you build owner loyalty and repeat business. certainly more useful than the HOG membership you get now. JMO
