Must be a thing with the area. I've been requesting quotes from Geico, Progressive and others and they are all pretty comparable. Must be higher rates here in PA. I guess if I lower my coverages I can get a lower rate. Not sure I want to do that.

State Farm does not count motorcycle insurrance toward any multi coverage discounts .
Not that I care as everything else is thru them .
I have been wondering if there is any insurance that would cover you during a rental .
Last summer I rented an ultra for a 3 day trip , the dealer requires a insurance binder from your own insurance company or you buy there rental insurance .
State Farm does not insure rentals I was told by my agent.
I'm curious what insurance company does . Heres Progressive's response to this .
Dear Mr. ,
Thank you for contacting us regarding coverage for a rented motorcycle. I appreciate this opportunity to assist you.
Our company coverage will pay after any other insurance that is in effect on rental motorcycle. The aligned policy contract provides coverage in the United States, its territories or possessions, and Canada.
Physical damage coverage provided to non-owned vehicles when your motorcycle is not in use because of breakdown, repair, service or damage and a loaner/rental motorcycle is provided by repair facility or rented temporarily by yourself.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to this e-mail or contact us by telephone at 1-800-PROGRESSIVE (1-800-776-4737).

Progressive Insurance quoted me a price of approximately $1900.00 for two bikes, a 2007 Ultra Classic and a 2006 Street Glide. I called Harley Davidson Insurance Services (800-832-4449) and was quoted $634.00 through, you guessed it, Progressive Insurance. I have dealt with Harley Davidson Insurance Services for the past 5 years and have always received excellent service and a reasonable rate. They write for three different insurance companies. Usually two are high priced and one is reasonably priced.
