A chopper is a type of motorcycle that was either modified from an original motorcycle design ("chopped") or built from scratch to have a unique hand-crafted appearance. The main features of a chopper that make it stand out are its longer frame design accompanied by a stretch front end, or increased rake angle. To achieve a longer front end, while the frame is being designed, the fabricator will tilt the neck of the frame at less of an incline and install a longer fork.
My 68 BSA Thunderbolt chop. 6" ext hardtail. 44d rake. 14 over Paughco. spool front 21. Trident sissy bar. dogbone risers with z bars.
It was always that clean because I rarely rode it. Truth is I lost my nerve. Son of a Bitch was too fast too small too hard too uncomfortable. Sold it along with my 60 Bonneville and 68 Tiger Triumphs to a famous country rock band...
choppers arre cool if you have another bike to ride. there good 20 minute bike night bikes. (20 minute ride to bike night park it and 20 minute ride home) and thats if your wife don't want to go. but i still would like to have one.
TM are not all they cracked up to be, my friend brought one recently, was having problem with cutting out, went to harley dealer to get them to have a look and they said 'don't touch em' ! Also on a recent roadtrip he managed to drop it twice in the first 3 days in slow speed maneuvers with his OL on the back. Then decided to get a cage for her to drive for the rest of the trip. Lovely to look at, but thats all its good for!!!

IMO, When bikes are just bolted together from available parts instead of "designed" and tested,.. they seem to have problems. A Hardtail frame and a manhole cover convinced me.
