I would totally go with the '48. In my opinion, that bike has more nostalgia and looks like a bad *** bar hopper. The '72's look like something out of ***** Wonka's chocolate factory. Or a Dr Seuss book... Just my opinion....
Either one is a great buy, IF there is no bad history here.
Find out where they came from first....I would be very cautious. If dealer took them in on a trade, I wouldn't worry. However if the dealer picked them up from somewhere else, there's probably something not right there....like flood damage possibly.

Plus, they are still under factory warranty...so that can make up for a lot.
It may just be they're trade-ins and the shop doesn't want to hold them through the winter. Price seems ok, make sure they're not a salvage title. Kurt
