Tap your latest squeeze on the thigh to make sure he's awake.
You do not want him to miss this since it's going to be the last
thing he ever sees...

So what's a good answer? The first thing I thought was close my eyes and pray. Could you turn off the bike and try to brake with back brake?

And remember, I did not come up with the question, I have no idea who did so please no comments about how stupid you think it is. I just want some ideas of how to answer.
Apply the rear brake only to come to a stop and steer with your weight. That's the logical answer but IMO it's a stupid question. No one in their right mind is going to ride a bike with loose bolts in the handle bars - four bolts would have to come loose at the same time!

One of the many reasons I would not join a MC club/group whatever.

But there is a thread on here somewhere about a guy who had his handlebars break while riding, which I can imagine would have pretty much the same consequences -- might not be so stupid a question...

You can't be serious?
You would know if your bars were loose before you kept riding. Look for another group to join.

A funny question not so funny if it really happens. Remember your throttle is still on the bars and your clutch lever too. My first thought was to put them back on. Obviously a subjective question with no definitive answer. I think they just want the first thing that comes to your mind besides " oh my God, I'm gonna die". You didn't say where the club was forming. California?

Great!! Now that's one more thing I have to make sure is in my saddle bag when I go for a ride.

I would use a one word answer and that word would be "****"!

When I was in ground school we had a quiz and one of the questions was,

You are flying on a very dark moonless night. You engine quits and you are unable to restart it. Upon turning on the landing lights you observe that you are approx 300 feet above a field of large boulders and trees.

What should you do?

The correct answer was......."Turn off the landing lights"

That having been said, I would find another group to join.
