I've been watching Jesse James, and the OCC guys building bikes since as long as they were on TV. The recent biker build off was a disappointment. With the exception of Gas Monkey's bike. Had the other builders looked to their roots and built what it is that made them famous in the first place I think everyone would be a lot more impressed. Remember when it was about the bikes and they were building stuff that looked like this?
I respect what the Gas Monkey guys bring to the table more than the others. Although they didn't construct every piece of the bike, I love the bike they built. And the fact that they rode the bike to the event is even more respectable. Jesse James is a legend for sure, but his whole attitude really turns me off. He says "i have skills and these guys don't even compare." That may be true but he's just an arrogant ******* in my opinion with no respect for other people's work.

they should have the next build off judged by riders at a rally, like the old ones. too many people watchin tv, voting not having a clue. I would love to see Jr ride his bike 1100 miles, all his car parts would fall off. I hope the gas monkey show does more bike builds now.

Yeah. It always beat the crap out of the stuff sitting on the Harley showroom floor in my book.
Still does in some ways. Some of my stuff.....Notice there aren't any chrome fire axes on the frame or wood baseball bats in the spokes.
