I'm looking at picking up some new slip ons, and narrowed it down to these two. That have the "Harley sound".
I like that the rush have a bigger diameter pipe.
But the cycle shacks are cheaper.
I'm looking at the 3" rush pipes with 2.25 baffle
and the 2 1/2" cycle shacks. Cycle shack also has 3" diameter pipes but I can't find any videos of it online.
I have the Rush 3.5 Slip ons with 1.5 baffles and can tell you even with those baffles they are loud when on the gas.
I went with my Rush because of the sound, I have a 2000 Ultra so no cat in the pipe issues but that can play a lot with getting that HD sound. most bikes that have a cat & are able to get that sound are bikes with V&H set ups.
As to the cycle shacks, sorry nope the sound was just to high pitched for me. Even at idle I could tell just wasn't the right sound.
If you are chasing more sound & keeping 2 exhaust ends go with rush you will not be unhappy.
This isn't my bike but sounds just like this one...
No experience with Cycle Shack, but have to say that Rush makes incredible mufflers. Had them on my Heritage and that was the best sounding bike I've ever heard. Loved the looks too. I'm running Rinehart now and they are fine, but if I had it to do over I'd definitely go with RUSH!
I have the Rush 3.5" with 2.25" baffles. Great quality and get a lot of compliments on how they sound. I was going to go with Rineharts, but for the money & sound....you can't beat Rush.

Same here.
I've put the Rush slipons on all 3 of the HD's I've owned. The best sounding for me were the 3",2.25" baffles on my 96" Softtail Custom. Sounded awesome.
I have the 3" 2.50 baffles on my '12 RK and removed the baffles altogether because of the cat converter. Sounds good but going to soon de-cat it and put the 2.50" baffles back. Then I'll have the sound I really want.
Rush also has excellent customer service btw.
No, I don't work for them or anything, I just give them good reviews from the past experiences I've had with them.
Did I mention they sound awesome too?! Especially on non catted bikes.
I have Rush baloney cuts on my 07 WG. My wife has Cycle Shack turn outs on her 10 SB. I like the sound of the Cycle Shacks and the shape of the turn outs a little better than the Rush. The chrome finish on the Rush seems deeper than the Cycle Shack.
