Default Hard candy flake help needed

My wife wants to replace her deluxe for a slim. I'm psyched. She's ok with the crimson red but would really love the red hard candy. I think it would look amazing. Questions:

Do you think I can special order from harley? - doesn't look like it.

Do you think they would reprint my tins for me if I sent them?

Do you think there is an acceptable aftermarket painter that could duplicate the paint exactly??

Any other options??

Thanks - tin

I've been saying it from the start. If they offer the metal flake colors on the other bikes, riders will buy them! If Harley won't offer the option, you always have the option of finding an independant to do custom paint. Make sure you scope out some of his finished work BEFORE you go that route!

Doesn't Harley offer a program that says they'll paint any color they've ever had in production? I'm pretty sure they used to have something like that

No to the first two questions, if you go the painter route instead of copying Harleys colour scheme you'd be better off getting something unique to you.

You realize Harley is imitating what aftermarket painters have been doing since the 60's, right? It shouldn't be hard at all to find a painter...just expensive.

I have a custom paint job with a lot of metallic flake on my Heritage " pics do the paint no justice at all". You can have a Indy do just what your looking for but be sure to see some of his past work in person and it will definetly cost ya some dough, mine is a "House of Kolor" with multiple stages, I think 7 to be exact! About $4,900 for mine but well worth it!

OP ------you can look at house of Kolors website and see the colors. You dont want just any paint shop to spray the bass boat metallics as it takes a knack to be able to do it

A good custom paint job can be every expensive so if your wife's okay with the stock colors available I'd stick with that. If she must have the hard candy paint then maybe she can find a bike model that comes with it from the factory.
