IMHO, if you need a heater to make your bike easier to start, it's too cold to ride.
Take the car, crank the heat, bring some coffee, pop in an 8-track or cassette & enjoy some comfort.
Really. Why even heat the bike? Do you heat your car too? Start it, let it run for a minute (put your helmet or gloves on during that time), and ride it. Use quality oil if you are concerned about wear. I don't get it
I have a small shop for my bike & tools in my pole building...it's 16' x 12' with a 10' ceiling so about the same size area. Mine is fully insulated and finished metal on the inside however, so that makes a big difference.
I have a 1500 watt quartz heater I leave on all the time when it's cold. It keeps it about 20 + degrees warmer in there than outside.
The key is the type of heat you want....you want a heater that puts out radiant heat. Radiant heat will heat objects(your bike), whereas a forced air heater or type of shop heater will heat the air and not objects as well.
I have experimented with every type of heater they make for this purpose, and the quartz heater works the best as it puts out strong direct radiant heat which is great for keeping things warm. Plug it directly into an outlet, and I have mine of the other side of the room from the bike.
Another advantage to the quartz radiant heat...even though your building is not insulated and can be drafty, the radiant heat will still warm up objects in the area like your bike. The air won't be much warmer, but your bike will.
why not go to the home depot of lowes and grab a few sheets of the foam insulation board and isnulate the thing. My guess is it will turn into a rain forest when the heat rises and condenses making the OKC humidity high enough it will rust stuff

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Reading this made me laugh...years ago I worked at a facility where we parked in a parking lot overlooking Long Island Sound and boy was it cold w/the wind whipping.
So this rocket scientist I worked with had an old Volkswagen Van that was like an icebox every morning...
so he get's the bright idea to leave a kereosene heater running in the van overnight set on low....
comes out in the morning and grabs the door handle to open the van...can you say 2nd degrees burns to the hand?
