My friend has a 08 Streetglide, I will help him to install some woodcams in a few weeks. He is getting Andrews ez pushrods, can he reuse the stock tubes? What other choices on adjustable pushrods out there? I used Fuelmoto PR on my Dyna but they are pain in the butt to adjust . Thanks! Alex
No. The stock bottom tubes won't allow for adjusting the rods.
Look at the difference in the length of the cover at the top in the 2 pictures below. The top one is the stock cover, the bottom is the new one. You need to be able to lift the lower tube up higher to adjust, and the longer bottom tube that comes stock (which is the reason the top cover is short) won't lift high enough.
Stock cover ^^^^
Thanks for the quick reply.
When I installed Fuelmoto PRS, I lift up the stock tube about 1 1/2" to do adjustment. Isn't that enough? By looking at the Andrews PRS, the adjustment screw sits at the same spot, am I missing something, correct me if I am wrong.
Second picture is my stock tube lifted up.
Unless they changed something since I did cams in my FXDX the Andrews EZ installs will definitely work with stock tubes. Its a bit tight when adjusting them but you'll get the hang of it.
