My Heritage was kept in dry garage an still had the same problem. Every day it fogged, then dried up when i took it out and rode. Dealer who installed it didn't consider it a problem as "they all do it".
1, make a wreath of elderberry branches, lay it on the seat
2, pour a circle of sea salt in a circle around the bike, at least a quarter inch thick (dirt only not on cement, ovb.).
3, if it's an odd day of the week, use mayonnaise to hold the wreath in place
4, go ahead and smear the speedo with a pasting of mayo too. I mean, if you really want this to work.
4.5, now it's time to shave your right leg, left eyebrow. ..helps with the airflow up to the speedo--> more of a preventative measure than an immediate fix.
5, play any album side by Iron Butterfly, backwards, for 12 hours
6, 24-72 hours later you will have one very dried out speedo.
stuff a few handfuls of uncooked rice inside the toe of a thin sock or ladies hose. lay it on the glass overnight. may take several times but its worked for me.
Sort of how glucosamine works? I put 365 tablets in a circle around my bike when I set it out in the sun. Fog mysteriously disappears..HA...

You might want to start a new thread with the following question: "who has a gauge thet does not fog up?"
Bet you will not even get one page of positive replies.
The aftermarket speedo on my bike fogs a bit if I hit it with cold wash water on a warm day, but it disappates after the next ride.
What's really bad is spider webs inside the speedo. The vent holes in the bottom are apparently big enough to allow tiny spiders access to the inside of the gage. I had to use compressed air in a can (the stuff they sell for cleaning computers) to blow out the cobwebs.
The OEM speedo on the bike didn't fog, but years of sitting in the sun caused some of the excess oil in the gears to "boil off" and condense on the glass, leaving a smeary oil film on the inside of the glass which could not be removed.
Oh thank goodness this is a SPEEDOMETER thread and not a Speedo thread...
Either way, moisture in either can be embarrassing and sociably unacceptable.
