Tie a cotton ball to a string, suck it through with a shop vac. tie to wires, lube it up with lotion or dish liquid or whatever lube you got laying around and push a little pull a little. It's all gravy brother. easy as 123. Good luck.

I used small chain from the hardware store. I cut a length of the chain you use for lamps. Fed the chain thru then tied one end to the wires.

I actualy used a guitar string for mine, but everyone doesn't have them laying around so I said "string". If they are normal 14's, with no 90 degree corners, he should be OK with string.

With the Monkey bars, you have to use a push pull motion. Work it back an forth and go slow. They can be a PITA to get past that sharp point. I have done a few sets so I am getting OK at it...I also use WD 40 to lube the wires. I have heard of folks using talcum powder too...

what i did was to tape the ends together with a small amount of electrical tape....but i left one a little longer than the others (didnt cut them different just taped the ends different ) and i kinda staggered the others back as well a little too...but especially the first one so i could grab it at the controls, and just used a hook to get a hold of it there. Having the one wire taped longer made it easy to grab and having the rest staggered made it easier to pull through the control holes----im not a proffesional and im sure theres better ways but it worked good for me.

As far as fishing wires, I tape all of them together and then tape a long wire tie to the end. I get another tie and zip it to the first one so I have about two feet of plastic. I put tape over the joint so it doesn't snag...If you were close, I would do this for you over a beer or ten...

They are Monkey bars. The Yaffe ones with the sharp bends. They are the biggest PITA out there to internally wire...

Oh! ok. I didn't know he had any sharp corners. I'm not familiar with those bars.

My El Diablo's weren't exactly easy either. If he has corners like mine, then Yes he will need something a little tougher than string. Sorry, my bad. Just trying to help.

I wasn't trying to say your idea won't work. Just that Yaffe bars are a royal PITA. The first set I did, I had to stop in the middle of the install and start again the next day. I was beyond mad trying to get the wires (this was a touring bike with cruise) on the right side through...Wow what a PITA they are...
