Default Engine warm-up question

I live on a quiet cul-de-sac. When I start my RK Classic it's fairly loud, so I tend to idle it out of the neighborhood before I let the engine warm up. Will this cause any damage? I'm just giving it enough gas to move slowly through the neighborhood and get to the main street.

thats fine. no more than 30 warmup at idle is needed. then stay below max rpms until up to running temp. just take it easy till everything is hot and sealed up.

You do it exactly how I do it. I just start in up and ease off. I ride it easy until the rockerboxes start getting warm.

Your OK, just let the oil circulate 30 seconds or so and start off slow. Take it easy for a mile or two till it gets a little temp and no highways for about 3 miles.

I'm probably a squirel. I ride around in the neighborhood and check myself and the bike out before hitting the highway.
