Default Help on HD springer identification. More pics added

Looking to swap into a springer front end on my 07 FXDB and came across this one for sale locally.

Unfortunately the seller doesn't know much about it beside it being a genuine HD springer, and being the noob I am (first bike owned for 3 months) in chopping I am also unsure of the type.

Also curious as to what would have to be done to mount this on my Street Bob, obviously different wheel, caliper, rotor, risers, lights. What am I forgetting?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks for your time.

It could also go on the Ironhead in the background:

It's black which indicates it is from an 05 or later FL (Classic or Crossbones). They will tell you that you have to use a "springer" hub but I've been running a wheel from a Fat Boy on mine for over 45,000 miles and it hasn't been a problem yet. Just need to get the spacing right.

I don't know for a fact but think that the MOCO gets north of $3,000.00 for a new one. How much is he asking for this one?

Thanks for the ironass, i always enjoy your posts.

Apparently he bought it used as well for a custom evo build.

Hes asking 1100 but i think i can get it for 8-900. Sound like a good deal?

Just trying to avoid getting ripped on something i dont know much about. But i dont see these often and was planning on doing the swap in the future.

95,96, and 97 Badboy's were black wernt they? They werre right side brake mount. That should narrow it down. https://www.google.com/search?q=harl...w=1280&bih=899

Looking forward to seeing your Dyna with a Springer. Definitely not something you see everyday.

I got some more pictures here. He did not run it with a front brake being it was on a crazy bobber he built. It does look very new though.

Any more input would be great, It should fit no problem, im just more curious to get an idea on what it was from.

Thanks again guys.

Searching high and low and cant find one that matches to its build. The dnas look similar(which i hope to god its not) but i see a few differences, springs are different, bars are bent slightly different, and this one looks like it has the shock mount welded up top.

The crossbones/classic ones are a lot different if you look at the bends and angles of the forks.

Wish i knew a springer guru!

With the better pictures it's pretty obvious to me that it's not a Harley fork. I don't think I'd pay $1,100.00 for it.
