Ya tin! Sounds like you were a trucker fur sure. As long as you wasn't one 0 them "good buddies" yer OK in my book.
I work with a few "Truckers" that have bikes. When we have some down time on the road I'll ask em if they are up for rentin a bike for the day? They usually say no thanks and stay at the gig waxin and polishin there trucks and I end up going riding by myself which is fine with me.
The kind of driving I do requires us to run illegal or the job don't get done. Don't know what the hell they're gonna do when all the electronic **** we been hearing about starts in the next couple years.
LOL! Nope,not a good buddy.
I was always in the same boat,I could do my job or I could follow the rules but I couldn't do both.If I was too sleepy I would stop and nap but I usually didn't need to.I was usually based out of the midwest and I could leave home and drive straight through to either coast without sleep.I could sleep when I hit my destination, waiting to unload, waiting for a load or while being loaded then straight through to home.Sleep at home and leave out for the other coast for delivery and start over.It was just a routine like any other job where you might pull a double shift. After I got out of pulling a reefer coast 2 coast I ran flatbed a couple years. It was a lot more relaxed but I was often pushing limits on weight and dimensions.
I figured by now most all of them were already electronic except some O/O. My oldest son is an OTR driver and I think all the companies he has worked for in the last few years are all electronic logs and gps and crap that goes with it.
FWIW when I would visit my folks If neighbors would see a big truck parked there my mom would explain her son was a trucker,If they seen a big wooly looking tattoo'd guy and a bike she would tell them her son is a biker, if neither was parked there at Christmas and such she would say her son is a ********.She used to call me other things as well but if you ever meet her please don't ask about it... lol!!!

I love how everyone tries to define "biker" in a way that they can fit into it. lol. Everyone knows what a biker is. They look like TXSwede and have an attitude like IronAss. lol. If you have to try to validate as to why you think youre a biker, then you arent one.
Hey scumBagger. Being you are a proffessional commercial motor vehicle operator, I asume you know while operating a comm motor vehicle electonic device usage is not allowed.
Just cause you are a proffessional does not mean your acts are. No different than a 16yr old texting while driving.
I guess you did not read entire thread and just started spouting off at the mouth.....funny maybe you should read the ENTIRE thread......I was not moving but you might of seen that if you read before you speak.....

You may have taken the picture sitting still but you wanted to while moving. This scumbagger tells me you still took this picture while in motion.

What a waste of brain cycles.......Yeah, I USED to ride in crappy weather when I was (MUCH) younger, now I'm WAY older and WAY wiser. Just so you know, even the local (30 miles north and 25 miles south) Harley Davidson workers take the cage in when the weather is dogch!t.
