BIKER IS A LIFESTYLE PLAIN AND SIMPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not what you ride unless not American made in my opinion.
its not where you ride
its not when you ride
ITS JUST RIDE RIDE AND OH YEAH RIDE SOME MORE
I agree with you, except the American made part. I know lots of bikers from days gone by that rode Honda's, Triumph's and BSA's that were every bit the biker as some of the hard core bikers today.
as for the guy who thinks I am driving and taking pictures.....I am A towing and Recovery Professional
Which one are you?
For some, riding is a challenge - not just fun. Obviously this guy is looking to push the envelope. I have done it on dirt bikes wearing ATGATT, but I wouldn't consider doing it on $30k worth of Harley.
As far as pics and driving/riding - I do it all the time. Cameras these days make it easy. No need to look in a viewfinder anymore - just point and click while paying attention to the road. Granted, it's a little trickier on a bike. I have dropped the camera once when taking pics while riding. I focus on riding the bike and if something is going to fail, it will be my control of the camera - not the bike. YMMV.

That's just a little too much like the old "It could never happen to me." excuse...

Nah. I'm pretty realistic. I've spent enough time looking at ceilings in hospitals to think like that. But, never have I been injured due to taking pics.
Hell, I don't even change my line when I'm clicking away. Like I said, I'm watching the road and pointing the camera somewhere else and clicking. I would say maybe 10% of my shots actually have something in them. Much of the time it's the sky, the road, or a mailbox.
Obviously it's not for everyone. But, if you can turn on your radio while riding you can snap pics. But, if you find it worrisome, you are right to avoid it.
All trhat said, it's much nicer having Cheryl on back to take over picture duties.
Only comment I have is he might be patriot guard. May not totally excuse his decision that particular day however one of my best riding friends up here is a Iraqi Vet and patriot guard. Seem him ride some brutally cold days (on dry roads) to join others in their final tribute to another vet. I do respect him for it.
Soo... coming back here I see this has turned into just another 'what in your lame *** opinion is a Biker' thread?' I though we were just discussing whether or not this particular individual was a biker? The definitive answer of course is Who T F knows? He may be, he may not be. But my original comment still holds true, he is an idiot.
And believe me, I have known more than my fair share of idiot Bikers.
Yes very true we do but a few years back comin from ark. Mid oct got to Beloit wi 6 inches of snow. Good thing we had rented a 250 ford van. Don't van it or trailer it. But I did this time glad I did.as to the real biker thing how about a I just need a flicking ride and nobody gets hurt JUST SAYIN

If riding a bike is his "job", then I wouldn't call him a biker. To me, bikers ride for the fun of riding, not to get paid for it. But that's how I see it.
So, the years I spent driving a truck for my "job",I wasn't a trucker?
I've been caught out in weather like that unexpectedly.I chose to slow down and ride on as opposed to camping in a ditch and waiting for spring. I don't know what it takes to make a biker, but I know one when I meet one. I also don't know the requirements that makes one a Wannabe but I can usually spot one of those as well. I don't care what category I'm in, I just ride....
